clear cmos. (SST-PP profile?)
check specs with HWinfo64.
ES support is often removed, not added with BIOS updates.
It's true. But I believe 1.30 is when they blocked the ES, and 1.23 was only ever a beta release (can't get it on the site). Thanks for the download!

Need help. I just acquired a supermicro X12DPG-QT6 with v2.4 BIOS. Will the QWAT CPUs work with this? does anybody know which specific ES CPUs will work with this configuration? I know there is some confirmation up to v1.4 BIOS.

Hi guys!
I just ordered a Q30H for my Gigabyte MS03-CE0 (wanted a Q2SP but it's not available anymore on ebay)
@RolloZ170 Can you send me your modded BIOS for the MS03-CE0, please?
Can I flash a modded BIOS, with the right checksum, to this board using the BMC or should I use a SPI programmer?

What's the latest BIOS update to the MS03-CE0 since R12 (the version I have) that has been successfully patched to work with EMR? I'm running a Q2SR. Is the current BIOS (R20) functional? I've taken a look at the thread again, and I'm seeing some discussion suggesting that some newer BIOS versions have issues, but is that only on SPR? I might be interested in updating the BIOS if the latest version is working fine.

got a new toy, Q463 GNR A2 ES, runs on ASRock Rack GNRD8-2L2T with stock BIOS (up to 1.13)
Q463CaptureScreenHWi_sth.jpgQ463CaptureScreenCBR23sth.jpg
base clock is 2100, turbo 2800, all core is 2800Mhz too.
in cinebenchR23 the Q463(64C GNR A2 ES) clocks 2700/2800Mhz @350W, the score is similar to Q2SR(64C EMR A0 ES)
while the Q2SR clocks lower between 2500/2600Mhz. it seems the multi chip design of Q463 eats a lot more of cbr23 score.
btw: Many thanks to the generous donor.

Very interested in GNR ES cpus as well, especially ones with 128 lanes or more. Do you know if that Q463 has that? Also any idea on the max turbo with half cores disabled?

GNR-SP LGA4710 max P core count is 86, you need GNR-AP LGA7529 Xeon 6 6980P (128C)
Also any idea on the max turbo with half cores disabled?
turbo = 2800Mhz, all core 2800mhz(64)
all GNR A0/A2 ES have low turbo clocks, it seems intel learned lesson.
currently A0/A2 ES are much too expensive, and B/H stepping ES have better clocks like
Q5LS(48C B1) CaptureScreen001 BIOS_2.01sth.jpg
or Q5WD(32C H0) 1..16C 4400mhz, 17..32C 4300mhz

Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out because I just bought an MS03-CE0 rev3.0 motherboard with an ES Xeon 8462Y+ Q071 processor and 64GB of DDR5 RDMIMM ECC 4800 RAM. I assembled everything properly, but I can't get the BIOS to boot.
I've tried flashing and reflashing it with Mega SPX and GBTipMiTool, but nothing works.
I'm using the latest BIOS version, R20. I can flash the MAIN_BIOS, but never the BACKUP_BIOS.
I'm stuck on the "Chipset initialize... EE" screen indefinitely.
Perhaps I can flash it with a modified BIOS, but how? How can I solve my problem? If you have a solution, I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

(Sorry for my translated English)

if you mainly need high clocks, look for Q2Y7 emerald rapids ES
same 32C MCC but 300W and DDR5-5600 support
(you can OC your 4800 if CPU suports more)
i have mod. BIOS R20 to run Q2Y7

Is there a list of these ES/QS cpus? I know that intel has lower core counts with 128 PCIE lanes such as the 676X.

6741P 48C 136 lanes
Q633 B2 (official QS)
Q5LS B1 ES2 (i have one)
Q4GN A2 ES1

processors with 136 lanes (UP only because UPI port used for add. lanes)
6711P, 6721P, 6731P, 6741P, 6761P, 6774P, 6781P
