HBM and L4 Cache mode work?
Hwinfo and cpu-z scren you have?
HBM is consider as the L4 cache in this occasion maybe? Yes, it worked and fully functioning. However the performance is just so so consider it as a A0 relic.

I didn't take the screenshot because this is just a brief test.

A couple of months ago I have been considering getting a Xeon Max ES/QS to avoid paying too much for RAM, but ultimately decided not to go that way. I have done a bit of research that time, and maybe someone finds it useful.

Xeon Max CPUs have the usual TDP of 350W, but, in contrast to Xeon Platinum, the HBM has to be included in the 350W budget. How much does it influence the FP64 peak performance? (This is relevant if you have compute-bound tasks, otherwise you'll very likely benefit from the HBM). I found a performance report for dual-socket Fujitsu servers with retail CPUs, and here is a brief and very loose summary.

A bit offtopic, I am surprised about their high number for 8480+, because the best I could get for it was 3.1 TFLOPS for a single 8480+. Unfortunately, I don't have the complete picture of what they did (LINPACK problem size, RAPL times etc.) and particularly what does their BIOS parameter "CPU Performance Boost = Aggressive" mean. Just wondering if I am leaving any performance on the table with my Gigabyte board...

Just as a example, the 9480(formal product) will gain approx. 30000 for multi core in CPU-Z. The HBM CPU is special for its "memory cache" which will increase (maybe just a bit) the efficiency and equalise memory performance(could understand in that way somehow) of DIMMs.

However the es HBM will definitely not be suggested, the maximum performance it could gain is from Q2CQ(52c 112t stepping 5 genuine intel). Most of the es model such as QY - -, quite bad : (

If there is enough budget, 4th gen scalable is the best choice, max as a extended.

However, the early step SPR-HBM required:

On gigabyte motherboards:
D18 or earlier for MS33 series
D17 or earlier for MS03 series

On supermicro motherboards:
X13 series rev 1.00

The maximum performance with hyper thread on for es will gain extra 1000 mulitcore performance points(as a quant. measure).

if you mean this, it is a defective CPU.

Q3W7 is QS stepping A1 not patch required.
stepping A0 was working until blocked by BIOS update.
Not sure if anyone got the Q3W7 working, looking to see if someone can provide the PCIE details for this. Looking for IAA, DSA, QAT devices

Q3W7 is the A1 stepping(2) quality sample of 8592+ , base frequency 1.9GHz, max turbo frequency 3.9GHz.

Thank you, but the Q2SR version seems to be missing IAA which I need the most.
i checked the HWinfo report of 8461V QS Q16Z and found no IAA, intel ark shows

Intel® Data Streaming Accelerator (DSA)
1 default devices
Intel® In-memory Analytics Accelerator (IAA)
1 default devices
the HWinfo reports shows two pci devices:
Data Streaming Accelerator (DSA.DINO.0)
Data Streaming Accelerator IAX (IAX.DINO)
i guess DSA.IAX is the IAA but not sure.

Supermicro should have a similar version, but I didn't find it.
SM successor for the X12DPG-QT is diiferent, look for the X13DEG-QT (not sold to comsumer)
Microcodes on it are 806f4 and later. PCIe bifurcation available.
HBM microcode is platform 10 (SPR-SP platform 87)
but the existance of HBM microcode means not support, they may start over, but without HBM.

RolloZ170, I ordered 2*Q2SR for my Gigabyte ms73-hb0. Can you send me a modified BIOS? Is it possible to integrate a last microcode?

Is there anyone who has a copy of P1621D81.23 (beta)? I'm running with an ES 6336Y QUYS on BIOS 1.20. It's running at 1.6GHz instead of the 2.3GHz mentioned on the cover. I suppose that's not unheard of with the ES CPUs, though. I was just wondering if there's anything different in 1.23 that would reflect that.

I'm running with an ES 6336Y QUYS on BIOS 1.20. It's running at 1.6GHz instead of the 2.3GHz mentioned on the cover. I suppose that's not unheard of with the ES CPUs, though
clear cmos. (SST-PP profile?)
check specs with HWinfo64.
ES support is often removed, not added with BIOS updates.

How do (US English only) people buy stuff off GooFish? I think I may need this eventually but the entire site seems pretty inaccessible for non-Chinese speaking people... This is a custom part so can't really find it anywhere else.
I ordered the q30h from goofish with Superbuy and just got it today. I searched without an agent, purchased through Superbuy agent, shipped tax inclusive without expert packaging but added extras like the moisture bag. Took about 3 days to the warehouse and 2 weeks to get to my house.

I was able to top off with a capital one virtual credit card through the non-us credit-card portal to avoid as many conversion fees as possible.

Half the post look like scams compared to ebay when looking for other items and took a gamble by picking a middle price. I looked for sellers with reviews that had images but not really sure how to gauge a scam on these sites or if I am missing out on a deal. Found a lot of troll post too for certain parts saying they found the item for cheaper somewhere else but not where.

My biggest trouble was honestly search. Superbuy started to ask for logins for goofish on the app so I used the desktop to search and buy and also at times the website status had more recent info compared to the app.

Best of luck. Saved enough to buy a ram stick but sure did feel risky.
