It might even work x16 - my dual network ports on P0[8:15] enumerate just fine (yes running in Gen 3 Mode tho) while my m.2 on P[0:3] is also online

Hi,

I can boot from MCIO3 port on H13SSL-N with an MCIO cable to NVME and an NVME to M.2 adapter!
I think it can support U.3 drives too.
But be careful 2 type of MCIO cable seen on ebay, you need the blueis PCIe 5.0 cable.
Sellers mix them up, like in my case, so I have to remove the plastic frame; it works, but too loose in the slot.
So ... is your Network on G0 working as well?

I ended up buying an 9D64 and paired it up with an H14-SSL-NT motherboard and 2 sticks of RAM. Here are my findings so far:

BIOS showed this CPU has no L3 cache but lscpu shows 176MB,
The CPU runs cool because the base frequency is 1 GHz and it doesn't boost very high.
Processor family is 19H.
I ran stress-ng on all cores for an hour and it handled it with ease and temps on my AIO didn't rise that much.
A general stress-ng caused an immediate freeze.
Neither of the 2 M.2 slots worked.
PCIe slots 1 and 3 - both Gen 5 x16 slots worked.

Just checking if anyone has experimented more with the 9D64. I'm wondering if going down the 2P route to get more lanes is worth the cost or not.
so far none of the 'D' support dual socket, PCIe lanes act as bridge CPU2CPU in 2P mode.

I have a few more updates re: 9D64 and the Supermicro H14SSL-NT.

  1. It supports only 8 memory channels. Channels D1, F1, L1 and J1 don't work.
  2. The 2 10G ethernet ports work
  3. None of the onboard SATA ports worked
  4. MCIO ports 1 and 2 didn't work, but I also haven't tried using those cables elsewhere to eliminate any fault of the cables
  5. MCIO3 also didn't work either in NVME or SATA mode

OK, so it seems that the following PCIe ports do work - but not always: G0, G2, P0, P2 (gen5) and P4 (gen3). G1/G3/P1/P3 don't seem to work, whether P5 (4xgen3) works or not is unknown.

The question is: Was the problem with G0 and P0 some of you experienced just a matter of a faulty cable or is it unpredictable and with different exemplars of 9D64 different ports do and don't work... ?

None of the ports works as SATA.

I am very happy to report back with very happy news to bring:

Any news about the PCIe x16 slots?

Theoretically, based on other reports here in the forum, PCIE2 (which corrsponds to the P2 port of the CPU) should/might work while PCIE1/PCIE3 (P1/P3) do not.

I can try next week with a non pcie gen5 piece

GPU did not work but i didnt mess with gen settings
