Currently using H11SSW-NT the obvious choice is H12SSFF-AN6 but they are too expensive.

I've come across ASUS KNPA-U16 SP3 but the reviews don't seem to be too good, they seem just a bit too cheap to me for some reason :) . I don't need all the NVMe via SlimSAS ports the Supermicro have what other good options are there?

You might go with Gigabyte
example 1.0 is for 7002 get the 3.0 version for Milan

Asrock Rack might have something for you and if you are in US checkout Tyan website

If you read reviews on Geizhals this upgrade might not be easy to perform and can lead to some problems
3 reviews....
the problems mentioned also existed before the update. You should be able to flash the BIOS with the BMCwebGUI, the BMC with socflash is more difficult, but you always have that, not only when upgrading to 3.0

Where is this guide? Also how do these perform with Supermicro no BMC issues like with ASRock?

if you have the MZ32 and the serial, contact Gigabyte support, download the tools form they're FTP server and follow the instructions.
gigabyte knows what to do thought.

supermicro chassis supports supermicro motherboards only.
There are adapters to connect the Supermicro front panel althrough i have never used then and dont know the specifics
If you have PMbus capable PSU you can readings from power supply
Is there any feature you would miss if you would used non-supermicro mobo in SM chassis?

the BMC may not understand SM-PSU PMBus data. Backplane I2C data compatibilty...
edit:
to be correct: supermicro uses SMBus

I was under impression PMBus is standard since not just Supermicro makes PSU with it
sure. supermicro mboard will work with SM-PSU PMBus.
but if you have issues and ask supermicro they will say
"supermicro chassis supports supermicro motherboards only."
edit:
to be correct: supermicro uses SMBus

Confused with this, the motherboard works OK in a Supermicro 825/826 for example? All sensor readings.
sorry. I didn't know what chassis you have. and not you want to keep.
why for example ?
have you Supermicro 825/826 ???

I am open to other chassis that support ASRock Rack X570D4U and Gigabyte MZ32. I got Supermicro as I normally use Supermicro motherboards + they are cheap and always available on Ebay.

Please make some suggestions :)
