I'm still hoping this is the year 8 and under TB gen 3 nvme drives go on firesale. A friend's company recently moved from 2tb gen 3 to larger gen 5 drives to keep all they need in the building, and I think 120v. Although honestly it seems like datacenters are just gonna buy jet engines instead of caring about power consumption
I know at least one vendor that does storage solutions that still uses only 7.68TB drives...

I was refunded as well now sadly not immediatly like others here, bad part is our currency increased massivly in vs usd in the time apart 24th vs 27th, so that currency and delayed refund + fees I ended up at negative $155 on the card
Not sure how that would work in your Favor, because either your Credit Card or Paypal will then do the Currency Conversion. That will also be the Case when doing a Bank Transfer for that Matter. So if the Exchange Rate changes between thee 2 Dates (Purchase and Refund), you will get back the amount in the "Local" Currency, whose Exchange Rate changed.
Though, in Europe (in Denmark that's the Case at least), I believe that the Seller doesn't have the right to charge you until they actually ship the Article. Until that happens, they can only place a Money Reservation on your Card, not charge it. Thus the "only" Thing you would lose is that you cannot actually use that Money until they unfreeze it.
Some people who from living in a country (not US) but are required to pay taxes in another (US) and have payments from jobs in different countries keep accounts with multiple currencies for taxes. You could do the same for toys
For reference, they sold 127 of the 15.36TB Netapp drives at $1800 so that's clearly the market price.
I concur, sometimes I wonder if some folks get confused on the difference between deals and steals, I have found my share of both over the last few years, when you originally posted this deal I missed getting some and figured with as fast as they went the next batch was gonna have the STH effect but after some patience and automatedsearches I got some after the weeklong delay in restock and ca3y6 you have my thanks!
When they went to $1800 and were still selling I sold 2 of the units I purchased because I just had more than I could sensibly use even after keeping some spares. After selling the 2 extra and all the sata, sas, nvme ssd's that these replaced I wound up with a whole lotta high quality nvme at $18/TB.
It's easily the best Steal of 2026 as far as I am concerned, anyone who disagrees I would ask that you provide examples of storage in the last couple of years you have bought in any decent quantity at a price that 2 weeks later you could sell for 2X what you paid a couple weeks ago for.

Yeah that $18 figure had me re-checking my numbers for sure, but after adding what I paid for all my SSD and sold all the drives they replaced for 2-3x what I paid for them $18.09 was the total and is all inclusive including all sales tax paid, seller fee's and shipping for the drives sold.$18/TB
