If i was looking for 15TB+ drives, but could wait, i would wait for the AI bubble to pop, god knows what we will get in the firesale they will do to raise a few trillion in bancrupcy liquidation
"we" as in the open market will be getting a trend towards previous pricing and thats it.

Their hardware is gone be recycled or sold to the surviving companies if they want it.
The people expecting a wave of it to hit the open used market are in for a disappointment.

All the cancelled orders from discounttechnology's "pricing error" didn't impact them at all. I don't think eBay is too quick to bite the hand that feeds them seller fees.

Small buyers will be absolutely last in line to get a slice of that pie. The hyperscalers will buy them first (AWS, Google and Microsoft aren't going bankrupt when the bubble pops), and then the mid-tier providers like Linode, DO, OVH. I doubt there will be anything good left for individual buyers.
This only if the future is giant data centers.

They tried that before when they thought the future of personal computing is thin clients connected to central mainframes.

Instead everyone just got their own personal processing power.

At some point we could have cpu/gpu/npu that is good enough for personal use.

Only a few giant data centers needed for big corporations, maybe 5% of what is being built

Why are you mean like that? Everyone can make a mistake.
Sure, but if they rush things and don't value your Time, why should they get away with it ?

It's been a hell of 3 Weeks for me, so sure, my Patience is definitively not in the best State. Let alone all the small Deals here and there full of unreliable People.

First a Package from UK delivered, marked as delivered, stolen 3 minutes later by the same UPS Guy that let it in front of my door without Signature. Package marked as delivered forever. Then they start claiming some Customs and Processing Fees, even though I paid everything via eBay Checkout and it was written as such ! Seller was very friendly and helpful, but UPS got hammered. You make me waste 3 Days like that for a Fee that you pull out of your rear End ?

Then a Pallet from NL delivered, marked as delivered, just ... to the WRONG ADDRESS ! Seller was helpful, NL freight was helpful, DK freight was full of ****. First one Guy processes the Issue, confirms they delivered to the wrong Address. Then nothing happens for 3 Days. Then he goes on Holiday, somebody else takes over and when I try to follow-up they just say that "Pallet was delivered". So from the top ... once again. Follow-up with 3 different Companies (DK Freight, NL Freight, NL Seller). Finally after 3.5 Weeks I got the Pallet delivered yesterday ! And for sure as hell, while I can be somewhat understanding to the Driver (everybody makes Mistakes, maybe was tired, maybe his Kids were sick, whatever), the way it was handled by the Company (lack of follow-up, lack of Handover, lack of Control over what they do, ...) was absolutely awful and granted a negative Review. Let alone that the Pallet was only delivered to me after the wrong Recipient contacted them !

Making Mistakes is human. But the Way they handle it makes all the Difference.

Compare this level of "Service" with what I had happen to me a couple of Months ago: from eBay US I bought some AMD Radeon Pro V620 GPUs. Delivery Note indicated 12 GPUs delivered together with their respective Serial Number. 2 Days delivery with DHL. I could only see 9 GPUs in the Package. I contact Seller via eBay Message stating that and list the missing 3 Serial Numbers. Seller IMMEDIATELY has some internal Talks, find the missing 3 GPUs, excuses themselves for the Error within 1 Hour, package them properly and sends them via DHL (1 or 2 Day Delivery DDP / Zero Value, i.e. no Custom Fees extra to pay). A World of Difference ! Seller was feeling bad and a bit embarassed, but to be honest, the Way that it was handled, was top Notch. Granted it was easier for them because I gave them the list of S/N to look for and they immediately found them on a Table or something (maybe a stroke of Luck too !). But this is what a good, honest, friendly and cooperative Seller looks like ;) .

Sellers that just hide behind some Rules to justify their lazyness and lack of Control / double-checking, meh .

Could be worse, the jetcarrier 1517 container that i got a pallet of servers(and a mountain of packages) in has a expected 12week delay in hamburg customs
Did they deliver it to China and it had to come Back ? Or had to go around the Cape of Good Hope ?

The more you write, the more I think you are running a reselling Business ;).

EDIT 1: What kind of Servers by the Way ?

12x DL380 G10 8sas+8nvme with sas card + few 25gbe nics at 150/ea , i got 6 of the tertiary riser kit for them sitting on the shelf.
Moving the nvme kits from 6 of them into other 6 for 8sas+16nvme specs and adding the tertiary kit for pcie slots in third riser slot since both main risers used for nvme.
6x HP 12LFF shelves for them also coming that i found at 80-100/ea with bezel/rails.

I think my 1U frame with 2x sx6012 that i found at 300 is also stuck in that container along with my 10pack of neat patch units.

It got pulled for a full customs inspection, so they are taking out all packages (and probably opening all) to verify content against paperwork.

Not cancelled yet, but we are past office hours in Germany. Also I bought on the first listing. The fact that the second listing showed the same stock than the first listing did gives me little confidence the orders will be honoured.
