I think a lot of these chinese sellers are resellers from a handful of central recyclers, so the stock may not represent the actual stock. They also advertise the same products on different market places, but ship internationally (so you can buy from the US market place for shipping to the UK even though they have a separate UK listing). So that leads to double counting. So I wouldn't read too much into the available stock.

I just bought one P5800X to pair up with an ES/QS one I got a couple of years ago that's been rock solid. Hopefully this one is the real deal.

Maybe I should‘ve gone lower but FYI they accepted 860 USD pretty quickly.

The 2.5" D4800X not P4800X ? If yes, those are at-least still reasonable on ebay and didn't see a huge price jump. Let me know what you have, might be interested.

Since this thread has devolved into a chat group, I've decided to post here rather than a new top level. Hopefully you guys will be less brutal.

I'm trying to be fair to all parties involved. I've already purchased quantity 3 for myself at less than current BIN. I should have them by this weekend. I have no relationship with the eBay seller, but I did encourage him to buy a USB to NVMe adapter to check the SMART data. I also suggested a better title. He had 5 available with $250 BIN + BO the last time I checked.

ATP N651Si 1.92TB NVMe SSD Gen4x4 TLC PLP 9000TBW 100% Health 2280 m.2 85°C 2TB

I found 2 product briefs. One is from 2024 and another from 2026. Based on the serial numbers, I'd go with the 2024 specifications.

ATP is distributed by both DigiKey and Mouser. The seller said they were pulled from some Android-based equipment.

How much did the seller accept at for your offer?

Have not seen any PLP m2 nvme drives in a while. Looks cool!

Throwback to the $99 ATP 2tb deal that was posted and before anyone could get offers in someone bought the entire lot lol- pre BS era of course!

Just a little update, I found out these deals are legit from Chinese instagram (rednote) and they’re being sold as low as $630 on Chinese versions of eBay. (Xianyu)

So I decided to take a look on Superbuy and sure enough they’re being sold for $680 there. I grabbed 2 for around $1300 (WeChat discount) shipped to America.

Definitely not for the faint of heart but if you wanna save a few hundred bucks this is an alternative. I feel like once these stock is cleared it’ll go back up to 2k a piece for flagship optanes. I already have one I paid $1600 for but I couldn’t pass this up at 50% off.

Damn I could have saved even more money. Ah well what can you do. Very good to hear its legitimate. I searched their address on google maps and it seems to be a legit reseller business in an industrial park in Hong Kong

you are comparing a 1w solution to a 20-30w solution. You don’t go for a SATA SSD for raw performance.
For some reason, I thought that was an NVMe drive.

But, an SATA at 20% is a complete no sale for me. Any drive that has chewed up that much endurance likely has other issues as well.

Just a quick note for anyone who bought these SN655, they come formatted as LBA4 with a metadata size of 64 bytes which none of my controllers support so they required a quick format to LBA2.

before:
LBA Format 4 : Metadata Size: 64 bytes - Data Size: 4096 bytes - Relative Performance: 0 Best (in use)

after:
LBA Format 2 : Metadata Size: 0 bytes - Data Size: 4096 bytes - Relative Performance: 0 Best (in use)
