AI is such ass boys, it completely killed affordable computing both at the retail and second hand tiers. good job there but hey at least we can still get articles about $3000 slop mobile-grade tier hardware for AI on the site
I'm looking forward to the eventual bubble bursting despite potential splash damage (I work for a partner). And not just to relieve skyrocketing prices due to real, speculative or downright predatory factors. It'll also shake out some of the "flakiness" and mature the industry.

122.88tb for $4k. PCI express gen 4, listed as new. This is kind of a weird one, too many dollars for me to splash out atm but great price per tb. Might be a good drive for backup or a portable media collection or something, but I wouldn’t want an un-mirrored drive to store anything important.

Any Idea how long the huge SSD/DRAM Prices are expected to last ?

Or put another Way, when are we expecting the AI Bubble to burst and buy all DRAM for cheap  ?

Kinda with what happened with Mining & Graphic Cards basically ...

Most likely a scam. Seller just created their account this month and has zero feedback. eBay seems to be chock full of such sellers these days.

I believe Micron has said 2028 at the earliest

They have no incentives to do that sooner I guess, after getting plenty of State/Federal Funds, just to throw everybody under the Bus (including but not limited to what happened with Crucial).

I guess the Date is more tied to Politics rather than actual Supply/Demand :p .

To me that’s not the red flag for those HP disks. The sales seem to corresponds to real buyers, are recent and for similar items. The middle listing is fairly recent (PM1643), but the first one is an old model (5100 pro).

The red flag to me is that the 3 listings showed up at the same time, with the sane stock of 5, with the same photo of 5 boxes with the labels redacted in the photo. So it doesn’t feel genuine, or might be a bug in their listing.
