Maybe im missing something here, but how is this a much better deal / spec'd board than say a X8-DTE-F (supermicro, can be had for 99$, not brand new though on ebay)?
is it bc it has 2x northbridges? (which i cant find another board that does, would this cause pci bus addressing issues maybe though?)
The other main differences are:
+4x 16x PCIe 2.0 slots (i would think this is for gamers though not servers as much since x8 PCIe 2.0 is usually max for raid / nics, GPUs are a different story)
+ supports S3 as the OP said (im assuming this is S3 suspend to ram you are taking about, right?)
+ 2x northbridges
- this tyan has the intel 82574L vs some SM boards with 82576 which is better for VM'ing (6 supports VMDq )
thanks for the info!
