100 Pieces gone in a Flash
Here's how it went down. Somebody actually submitted an offer for all 100. I'll bet they got 0 while waiting for a response. Open offers are automatically declined when an item sells out.

eBay doesn't expose as many listing details as they once did. I use a site called WatchCount which uses the eBay API. It will give you the start time and purchase history which are helpful for making offers. Sometimes items have been listed for years. Those are usually pretty safe. For new listings, smart sellers will let the offers queue up, see how many sell at full price, and then possibly accept some offers before they expire. WatchCount has existed for at least 15 years. The original idea was to source listings (affiliate links) with the most watchers. In my experience, lots of watchers on an auction means little chance for a deal unless it's a really big ticket item with most players just drooling. Old timers might remember when eBay allowed you to see actual bidder UserID's and even see exactly what else they were bidding on. This would save me tons of time. Find the regular deal hunters in your niche and snipe over their shoulder. Because I knew people could watch MY activity, I always sniped. Even then, they could still see my purchase history and watch those sellers for future deals. Now that everything is anonymous, I always place an early token bid to lock down the details and get rid of any BIN. Of course, you never want to post here until you've secured all you want for yourself.:D That might add some delay if you're submitting offers.

Still in stock. There seems to be zero demand for SAS SSDs in the UK this summer. Have a couple of other drives on sale on ebay myself, same thing. A few time wasters with 2-3 ratings and that's it. If that seller struggles he might take lower offers.

Well, there is no Shipping outside of the UK, so there's that as well ...

there are good parcel forwarding services. I personally use forward2me, it seems they have a UK warehouse. Allows you to access ebay pretty much worldwide

Good hint!

Is there a solution for ebay complaining that "shipping into your country is not possible" when making an offer on an item that has UK only shipping? I even changed my primary shipping adress for testing to a UK one but yield the same result.

Normally it should work. Change your shipping address to the mail forwarding address (make sure you register with them first, the address will include your customer id). Usually better to go on the local ebay website (ebay.co.uk for a UK listing) but not necessary. In the shipping section of the listing, you can click for more infromation and there there is a drop down where you can select UK. And having done all that, you should be able to order or make an offer using a UK address. Be mindful that if the seller is a business, ebay will add VAT to the sale (so you may end up paying VAT twice, once when you import it, and another time to the UK, taxes sucks but hey, you get what you vote for!).

I know, eBay is completely messed up:
- Go to My eBay -> eBay Account -> Addresses -> Delivery Addresses -> Select the UK Address -> Set as Preferred / Primary
- On the Ad Page, Click the "See Details" Link close to Postage / Shipping
- At the Top of the Page (primarly on eBay.com altough maybe also other, approx. top center of the Screen on eBay.com), there is "Ship To" with an American Flag by default
- At Checkout, select Paypal and then the UK Address

It's at least 2 Steps and at worst 4.

I had to figure this out myself because eBay Customer "Service" was absolutely useless and same for the Community Forums.

EDIT 1: for a Fact, I 100% need to change my Primary / Preferred Shipping Address when I ship using eBay.com from the US, and similarly when I ship to Germany-only using MailBoxDE, then when I can buy something that gets delivered directly to Denmark, I have yet again to change my Primary Address.

An absolute PITA on the Web Page using the Desktop Browser with Password Verification & 2FA, but at least on the Mobile App on Android it's just going to Settings -> Addresses -> Select -> Set as Preferred / Primary [Tick the Checkbox] -> Apply.

Like 10 Seconds instead of 1 Minute ...

Not my Experience as I laid out in the Previous Answer.

That might work for "Buy it now" Items where you can change that in the Cart (assuming it will accept it, again - NOT my Experience), but for Offers you need to set the Preferred Address first I believe.

Actually before I found this "Trick" I HAD to send an Offer so that it would accept me to checkout, I could NOT do "Buy it now" since ~ November 2024 where all eBay broke (for me and many Users in Denmark at least).

That's my Experience at least, I'm sure that other People may not have the same Difficulties.

Yeah, sorry, by changing your shipping address, I meant setting that UK address as your primary address (you can change it back and forth, just don't let ebay edit your address when it offers it).

Oh yeah, that's the annoying Part. On the Web Browser it just asks you once while on the eBay App it asks every Time you change if you really want to edit it. Like ... NOOOOOOOOOO  ?
