If you are still wondering what the base power-consumption of this board is, then here is a low power baseline:
I used a 60 watt external power supply (12V) which connects to a 160 watt tiny-psu clone (
NEW DC-ATX-160W MINI DC-ATX Inline Power Supply Module Board 24Pin 12V 160W | eBay ).
The Board specs:
Xeon E3-1220L V3 (2 Core + Hyperthreading at 13watt)
32 GB of RAM ( 4x 8GB PC3-14900E at 1.5V)
128GB Sandisk Sata6 SSD
Plus a 12cm fan which adds around 1,5watt
IPMI is connected to a switch
1 of 2 LAN ports are connected to a switch
VGA Display is actively running
Power-Consumption (At the wall):
Installed Ubuntu Linux 19.10 Server.
Highest Power-Consumption: 30 Watt (At boot)
Median Consumption: 22 Watt
Idling at: 15.5 Watt
Just using 2x 8GB:
-0.6 Watt
Using recommendations of PowerTop:
-1.4 Watt
As a final test:
