The coupons don't affect how much sellers receive, so presumably just a coincidence. If anything, I imagine most are happy since it will increase sales.

Or they're so swamped by orders that they won't be able to fulfill within the normal timeframe, so this is just a way to get a little breathing room without changing everything on their site.
