I would find another version , the reason is the riser derive 3.3 volt using a cheap zener diode instead of a voltage regulator.
It waste power , more heat, poor voltage regulation.

See the the little diode next to the empty place holder for the 3.3v regulator.
I would look for version 006c or version 7

venison 7 pic-e riser use sata power connector directly. without the molex to sata adapter cable. It gets the 3.3 from PC power supply via the normal sata power connector.

I need to replace a failing 1TB HDD I use for backups. Any suggestions that I could pick that that take advantage of this coupon? Could also make the switch to a larger drive. 2.5 or 3.5 are both acceptable.
