Seller has good feedback, but price seems too good to be true - even for older gen. Intel 82599

I have never seen that card before but if it is Intel 599 based... there is a decent chance it would use standard Intel drivers much like the Silicom PEG6I's that were popular a while back (6x 1GbE.)

Thanks for the feedback - trying to avoid proprietary solutions that would not work in my Supermicro MB's (FlexLOM anyone?).

These are identified as Intel 82599 10gbe nics in both Win Server 2012 and ESXI 5.5 using inbox drivers.

Cards run hot - 170f measured on heatsink with IR thermometer. Temp settled at 105f under load with spot fan.

LP brackets were included, but cutout for hold-down screw was on opposite side of tab as regular bracket. I ordered a few of Full Height Bracket for Dual Port PCI E x8 Ethernet Adapter | eBay

Checking with vendor regarding additional inventory, as these seem to be a good deal.

I know I"m resurrecting the dead here. I was lucky to get one of these and now going to try it under UnRAID. 10GBT is a sweet spot that I need to get all my systems on.

dual port 10Gb NICs are usually down to $40-$50 now, generally speaking. i don't know about this specific NIC, but the Mellanox, or OEM branded Mellanox dual port can be found frequently in the $40-$50 range.
