Anyone have a list or know what V4 steppings/Spec codes one should avoid? I'm mostly interest in 12, 14 and 16 core CPUs. I know some have those weird steppings Like L0 for example. I'd assume L0 is more like A0?

90% certain... L0 = A0, M0 = B0.
For v3, its C2, M2, R2

Then again... if they kept the same letters... L0 could be retail for v4 as v4 retails at B0.
As far as qspec/sspec is concerned QHxx is A0 A1 and QKxx is B0.

Sorry for reviving thread this old, but right now I'm looking for v4 cpu as I got ml350 g9 for very cheap.
Why are these steppings thing to avoid?

Does it mean that it could be unstable under default settings?
there are many many BUGs even in the prod.units which are corrected in microcode updates.
eng.samples(not QS) lacking any corrections of errata or vulnerabilities.
Or it's related mainly to the overclocking potential?
there is no unlocked E5 V4, means they are not overclockable.

That make sense. I see many people purchasing/selling QS or even ES versions. Honestly I don't know if 30 euros of diff in price is worth the headache.
