So, Craft Computing put in E5-46xx CPUs in his LGA2011 V1/V2 system and it booted and ran fine.

Does anyone know if this works with V3/V4 versions of the Supermicro motherboards?

/TL;DR

Turns out my old engineer samples of E5-2650L V4 CPUs, and one gives an error and won't work in this X10DAi. They boot and all. However, Proxmox dies upon starting.

The first line, TSC_DEADLINE disabled, is not an issue. The CPU 0 gives the same error, and boots fine into Proxmox and is able to be installed.

But, just checking if 46xx CPUs may work as now that prices are far cheaper 8 years later, I could actually pick a couple up.

I've had\used E5-46xx v3 ES since they came out\before they came out and they've worked in the SM boards I've tested.

E5-4600 v3/v4 works on LGA2011-3 dual socket motherboards(QS and production units)

the E5-2650Lv4 ES is well know with issues running in dual socket conf.
