I'm sorry, but i don't think you understand, geekbench and "userbenchmark" are not cinebench 15 are they?

Any gentle soul capable of making the good old cinebench 15 benchmark on these puppies?
We been talking about about other CPU. Which CPU are you referring to?
I have 1 x E5-2696 v2 CPU here . ( borrowed CPU , not mine ). Is that what you want R15 score?
I could run CineBench after dark. (outside temp is over 108 degree now, trying to stay cool )

It's diffrent with these chips.

Try searching for 2683 v3 all core turbo on Google. These v3 chips are pretty funky.
Care to tell us? Lots of articles on Google for that search from videos to in-depth other cpu with mentions of them....

I have a half dozen or more of those CPUs, and while it doesn't matter to me... I'm still curious :)

Cinebench R15 for 1950x: 3062


I saw one with overclock going to 3400

Think I am just about giving up on the objective of trying to equalize 1950x for cheap and just working on beating it for highly threaded for equal price.

Send me your 2696s

64GB ECC DDR4 + 1950X + motherboard + cooler is more than I want to spend. The 2696 I think will be good.

cinebench r15 for e-2686 v3 stock 1 cpu: 1988

So with dual cpu I should be able to easily beat 1950x. but that comes at the price of having to go with higher price of 2011 v3 and DDR4

The numbers don't scale like that.

2x2686V3 scores a 3168. For the parts needed to run it. Is it even worth it? Why not just go with TR?

That cinebench vid is for dual 2683 v3 (28 x 2.5 = 70) , not 2686 v3 (36 x 2.3 = 82). I would expect 3700 or better with dual 2686 v3

all this comparison really puts into perspective the value the 1950x brings to the table.
For a new system, the value is unbeatable for multithread at this point. For old hardware system, dual 2696 v2 gives better value since you could get a lot more ddr3 for the money right now. but 2011 is pretty much at the end point as 2696 v2 is the last cpu for 2011 that you can go to.

as for 2011 v3, you can't really get anything much cheaper for as fast as 1950x. I think the best you can do is equal price for better multithread performance. obviously we are leaving system power usage as well as total pci-e out of discussion here.

when amd releases something that will make it impossible to even be faster for same money, I will sell my intel stuff...lol...

the way things going my next build will probably be ryzen...

for dual cpu?
A Google search for dual CPU setups on the CPU-Z Validator website shows
- Supermicro X9DAi
- Asus Z9PE-D8
- Unknown ... but most likely a Quanta Windmill v2 -> Storage is descrived as "Google PersistentDisk". Also there are other single CPU Open Compute entries.

On some Hackintosh forum the Asus Z9PA-D8 was also mentioned, this is the one I have in my main rig. I am somewhat tempted but unfortunately prices in Europe are rather high. I could buy in the US but the import fees are rather high and I definitely don't want the hassle of an international RMA or, god forbid, return. The german tax office is not known to let go of money easily...
