Yes, thanks. Seller wont respond so it might be a hacked account, although very unlikely.
yeah, well so far he racked in like nearly $18K... so that would be one of the biggest payout if ebay has to refund if it happens?

kinda interesting that there was another seller was offering it for $185 (the seller in my first link)... and i figure no one would buy it from that seller right now? but nope someone just bought all of his 3 cpu yesterday......So i am wondering if whoever that was a) didn't do their homework with search or b) didn't believe $120 seller was real?

These things happen in varying amounts on a daily basis, however, taking x % of all payments processed is so superior that even the 18k or much higher scams don't make a dent into the payment processing company. Though 18k would be one of the higher amounts, it would logically be far from the biggest payout which is probably unknown.

Also, the buyer on that 185$ listing could have been following it or any of many reasons.

well, i think no one here who paid has complain of not receiving their tracking number yet.... so i guess we will see if we all get a bunch of empty boxes....:)

I can't wait to benchmark this... i mean it has an impressive number of cores, but they are not the fastest..... passmark gave a higher rating to the 2690 v2... probably on the basis of the higher single core score of the 2690 but multicorewise they should be very similar.... The lowest price for e5-2690 v2 today just now is $285.... so it is what it is...

All mine (2 orders - 6 CPUs in total) have already shipped and almost arrived. Bought on 8th, shipped in the morning of 9th. I'm not gonna be able to check the contents for a while though since I'm not in US and using freight forwarding, so will get mine in 2 weeks at best.

I missed this round, but I am still looking at this. I have an Asrock ep2C602 MB, but it does not have the e5-2695 v2 or the e5-2696 v2 on the bios support list. The 2697 v2 is in the list. What are the odds that it will work anyways??

2695v2 should work with pretty much every board that supports V2 CPUs in general. So it's most likely going to work with your Asrock mb. 2696v2, on the other hand, only works with some boards and not the others (doesn't work with most if not all intel s2600 boards, for example).

I ordered late, Nov 9, and have tracking but it's not expected to arrive until Nov 17
I purchased from ccs_service and they seem to have sold 200 and still show having 100 for sale at $119.99 or BO so likely they will still accept $100...

seems like the number bought has slowed down a lot.. i think everyone that wants one bought two? lol.... and now just waiting for theirs. got my package but hasn't tested yet...

Seems like he still got a load of this cpu.... i mean he will surely unload all of them real soon eventually... but i am just hoping that there will now be some additional discount on other cpus...

I have been watching this thread waiting for someone to post results after receiving before I pickup a pair. Great price though.
