E5-2667V3 vs E5-2667V4

I am thinking of upgrading the current dual cpu E5-2663 v3 in my dell T7910. I need some better single core speed. I am thinking about E5-2667V3 or E5-2667V4

Is the v4 worth the 2x cost of the v3?
Is there another cpu to be looking that gets good single core speed without sacrificing core count to much?

As a reference, Xeon E5 v3 -> v4 brings a small (1-3%) improvement in IPC and support for faster DIMMs.

In this case, it's actually more along the lines of <=2133 to 2400.

Based on the Passmark scores you can find I'd say it is absolutely NOT worth 2x the cost
