On Server 2012R2, from a single HBA I've connected two mini SAS HD SFF8064 - SFF8088 cables to the JBOD Primary In and Secondary In ports, however, SAS drives (shown as multi path disk in device manager) are only shown with a single MPIO path Active/Optimized. I was expecting two paths to be shown for each drive as is the case for dual iSCSI fabric.
Do I have to enable something on the HBA for this configuration, should the drive display two paths for MPIO enabled system? The system is using the Microsoft DSM, is this correct?
Any help appreciated.
