Looking for my old neighbour 4x 4GB DDR3 1066/1333Mhz UDimm and a Xeon x3440 or better. All is good and better than his x3430 with only 4cores. He loves his old Dell T110 and dont want to exchange it. I like him and just want to help by asking here. Sad how things can turn down quickly for older people ****ed over by own family.

So if everyone has it as a giveaway or price lower than eBay, it would be helpful. Of course shipping will be paid by me for him.

Thanks and happy weekend

Does he need/want a server class system or would a desktop do? I have a Z170 desktop barebones mid-tower you can have for shipping cost. I built it for firefighters in CA but the person turned it down.

To be honest I wasn't aware of this. I gave him some old rams from me but they didn't work and then I realized he needs UDIMMs and not RDIMMs. I changed it.
What I meant is this: on LGA1156 Xeon 3400, if you want to utilize 8GB modules, you have to use quad rank ECC RDIMM. 4GB modules can be ECC UDIMM.

BUT, I checked T110 manual and it seems that it doesnt support 8GB modules at all, so you need 4GB ECC UDIMMs

Will the udimms need to be ecc or non-ecc?
Thanks Samir ... ECC 1066 or 1333Mhz ... cheapest as possible.

That's nice, but look he's here in EU and just need ram and maybe a better CPU. But many thanks for your offer. Much appreciated.

Thanks, I missed the mandatory 1-2-4GB setup.
