Bit of an odd request, but has anyone tried running a Gen 1 Intel Scalable Silver Xeon with DDR4 2400 RAM before and had any luck?
I’ve got multiple Cisco 5108 chassis and multiple B200 M4 blades, and have the chance to grab a few C220 M5 rack servers for a fair price.
I’ve got over 1TB of Cisco 32GB DDR4 2400 sticks and was hoping by some miracle that it may work with the M5 (scalable) platform, as it would save me buying a tonne of RAM up front as well.
The silver scalables max out at DDR4 2400 so I was hoping that as long as my RAM could run at that speed then the sticks may work/be detected?
Anyone tried before?
Thanks!
