Ok, bought 2 5m SFP+ DACS off of ebay, described as 5m passive DAC cables.
They are labled as SFP-H10GB-ACU10M
I plug them into an ICX6450, it detects them as follows:
Port 1/2/3: Type : 10GE Active Twinax 10m (SFP +)
Vendor: CISCO-TYCO Version: A
Part# : 2127493-5 Serial#: TED1419U25B
The ICX will detect the insertion, but waits for PHY initialization and never links. I've tried doing a loop on the ICX, connecting to my Intel OEM CX-3 with QSFP-SFP adapter, and to an aruba S2500. I'm now trying a loop on the Aruba. I'm inclined now to believe I got two bad cables, but don't want to complain/return if I'm being the idiot. The server is running HV 2016, using the latest intel OEM 2.42.5000, and I've got the latest winOF 5.5.53 version.
On the server side, all I get is a link is disconnected message, and I haven't figured out how to verify that the card is seeing the transceiver or similar.
Any thoughts or do i just start the e-bay return? (and If I screwed up and bought the wrong thing, I'll eat the $16...)
Thanks!
(I can return easily, as I was trying to buy 5m cables, and they shipped me 10m cables, and since I really only need 2m the extra length is obnoxious.)
