Since I decided that scaling up will do me no good the logical conclusion is to sell all the excess stuff which I probably won't use anyway.
Today we have a bunch of switches. I know those go badly here so not putting too much effort in it initially.
O/c if anyone is interested in actual pictures, power consumption, or whatever I am happy to provide it.
At this point I'd prefer shipping to an EU address only.
1. Celestica Seastone DX010
These are 32 port whitebox switches running Onie as bootloader. A fairly wide range of supported Network operating systems. Most regular ppl would probably be running SONiC since its free.
I have two of these, one currently running SONiC, one an expired OCNOS trial.
Will come with rails iirc, barely used.
Power consumption >100W, noise is bearable after boot.
Looking for €600obo.
2. Dell S6100 2U Flexible layout switch
This one is a 2U switch with 4 replaceable modules. Currently I have one module installed (4 ports of QSFP28 and 4 ports of CXP; Ebay US has a seller offering the 40Gb/s modules below $50 ea.
Runs Force 10 OS 9, unfortunately no SONIC support except for the 64x40Gb/s release, but of course if you're handy with a script, SONiC is available on GitHub to roll your own modification
This one is registered to me and should still have warranty (would need to check how long), o/c we can transfer the warranty to the new owner. Dell was quite helpful and verified that this switch is not affected by the C2000 bug.
Looking for €600 obo.
O/c I also have a bunch of 100G cards and cables I am happy to sell with above switches.
Will be listing lots of other stuff whenever I get around to it (chassis, boards/cpu/mem, (mostly sas) ssds, sas3el2 2u backplanes etc).
