Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 i7-1065G7 = to buy or not to buy?

...it's that time of the year when the wallet is a little itchy, anyone else have one of these? any caveats?

Only caveats off the top of my head:
  • 13" can be somewhat cramped if you're not used to it. This is somewhat alleviated by the 16:10 display ratio.
  • 4k displays will eat battery.
  • USB-C only, no ports for USB-A, ethernet, display, etc.
  • The 2-in-1 keyboard is very similar to Apple's polarizing butterfly keyboard. The non 2-in-1's is much better.
  • RAM is soldered.
I have the prior version (model 7390) non 2-in-1, running Kubuntu 19.10/20.04. It's been a very good system for me. If I could at all justify it I'd swap for this years model to get the larger display and better iGPU, even though it'd mean giving up 2 cores (6 vs. 4).

It was the 1920 x 1200 resolution which caught my eye, and the fact they've removed the dell logo off the screen bezel, finally.
