Hi everyone,

I'm an old school builder and I'm trying an experiment - building a low power/low cost system better than buying a D1540 board so I bought a K240Y motherboard for a Dell T5810 and I'm going to add an ES Xeon (2630L 55W 10 cores).

These are already shipped and yesterday I had a great offer to buy some Kingston System Specific Memory RAM so I jumped in ordered 2 types:
- KCS-UC421/32G 32GB DDR4 2133MHz - ECC - compatible with Cisco Systems (HyperFlex HX220c M4 Node) - CL15 , X4 , 1.2V , Registered , DIMM , 288-pin
- KTL-TS421/32G 32GB DDR4 2133MHz - ECC - compatible with Lenovo and IBM (ThinkStation P710) - CL15 , X4 , 1.2V , Registered , DIMM , 288-pin

Now can someone confirm that these 288 pin DIMMs can work in any system and my hypothesis that the System Specific are better than the standard one (better tested, lifetime warranty).

Thanks,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

I am considering a similar build...... I am not sure about your RAM sticks, check the Dell webpage for specs,
or call their support....?

-What will you use for a PSU? -Will you be able to use a standard ATX PSU with that MoBo?
