Just got off the phone with DELL support, they just confirmed they will be starting to vendor-lock their switches again starting from OS10 and higher.

For example switches like the S4112F-ON running OS10 won't be a accepting generic SFP+'s anymore.
(A S4080-ON with OS9 works fine)

Anyone else with the same experience?

I have Dell S5212F-ON with OS1EE version 10.5.2.3 and I'm using non-OEM tranceivers, Chelsio and Mellanox DAC cables works too.
Something like that allowed all transceivers to work.
Code:
 allow unsupported-transceiver
If DELL will do transceiver vendor lock without possibility to unlock it, I'll never ever buy even a computer mouse from them.
Currently these suckers stated that you can't even transport your laptop in your backpack because of possible burn/overheat with
this amazing Windows Smart Standby (S0ix).
Dell laptop Smart Standby S0ix sucks
