I really don't need anymore of these... I love these cheap little boxes though, think I've bought like 12 of them from this seller. Ended up selling a few to friends and co-workers.

Got a $140 offer on 2 of them, let's see if they take it. I'm looking at a pair of redundant firewalls myself.

I offered $155 on one of the V2/8GB and got it. I needed a box quick for a project.
Is the DRAC in this compatible with any other models of PowerEdges?

The iDRAC6 is compatible with most of the 11th Gen PowerEdge Servers, but obviously check your exact model first before assuming :)

Bough 2 of them for $150 and got them to lower shipping on the 16GB models. This will work well for my dual PFSense Firewall build out.

With these little guys are you adding your own card and going with zfs or using the existing card and sticking with 2TB drives?

I have been waffling between being cheap and thinking about 8- 2TB drive in a zfs2 pool (12TB should last me a while but the damn vms fill up disk space)... OR collecting 8-8TB drives slowly and building up an array that will last a few years. (48TB seems like it should be impossible for me to fill)... Good sense has me thinking I should go with 4TB drives but I was not gifted with much in the way of good sense when it come to computer gear.

My FreeNAS box is a repurposed i7-2600K, 16GB RAM, LSI 92xx card, boot drive and 5x8TB WD Reds. Been solid and uptime in the months.

This r210ii is for a FreePBX for an office project. It’s complete overkill for the amount of phones/calls, but I wanted some sort of server with DRAC to fill the need. I ended up with the server, rails from Dell, a new front plate and an SSD for under $350. Doing burn ins over the weekend then I’ll finish it.
