Edit: Okay, time for an update. I've received the goods, and it's all tested and working. I've updated the post with specifics.
(This is UK-based, so most likely looking for a UK buyer. I imagine overseas shipping would be prohibitively expensive)
Hi all,
I recently picked up two Dell T7600 workstations from an outlet reseller. I'm keeping one, and I've poached the Xeons out of the other to put in my custom-build workstation.
So - I've got a fully working T7600 barebones system to sell (just add CPUs), plus a bunch of assorted kit that can be included if required, all effectively-brand-new, and the system is covered by a transferable 3-year next-business-day warranty (obviously excluding whatever CPUs you would add)
I won't be charging Dell premiums obviously - I've tried to work out some fair prices, based on standard component costs.
Additionally, I have these components which can be included:
Hard Drives
I'll work out a suitable courier and payment method to suit, if anyone is interested.
It's available for immediate dispatch, give or take a day depending on how much re-configuring is required.
I'll probably end up going to eBay with it if I can't sell it anywhere else, but I'd really like to avoid lining their pockets with fees!
Post questions, or feel free to PM me.

I won't be charging Dell premiums obviously - I've tried to work out some fair prices, based on standard component costs.
- Dell T7600 Chassis, with Dell easy-swap-type 1300W PSU (80 Plus Gold).
- Dell custom dual-Xeon S2011 motherboard, and 16GB (4x4GB) 1600MHz ECC/Registered RAM.
- Will include the 2x official Dell heatsinks/fans, and Dell keyboard and mouse. (If required)
- nVidia Quadro NVS 300 graphics card - 512MB
- Slim DVD-RW optical drive
Additionally, I have these components which can be included:
Hard Drives
- 5x Hitachi HUC106060CSS600 600GB 10k SAS hard drives - I've tested these, and they work fine on an Intel (non-Dell) controller too - I'd probably aim to get ~£180-190 each for them seperately, but if you want all five included, I'd go for £150 each (£750 total)
- 2x Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB 7.2k SATA hard drives - Looks like they go for around £50 new, so I'd say £40 each.
- nVidia Quadro 2000 - 1GB - I reckon £150 would be a fair price to upgrade from the NVS 300
- Dell PERC H310 - LSI SAS 2008-based host adapter, with 2x internal SAS connectors (8 ports) - This is what the 5x SAS drives came attached to, so I presume you'd need this to host them, £75 seems reasonable to me.
- Windows 7 Professional 64bit OEM edition. A license comes attached to the workstation - I reckon £60 would be reasonable, as it appears to sell for no less than £90 bought seperately. If you'd prefer to supply your own OS, I'll just remove the license label.
I'll work out a suitable courier and payment method to suit, if anyone is interested.
