Yes it is in BIOS: "Memory Mapped I/O above 4G". For me it's the second item right unter "SR-IOV Global Enable".

Can you maybe try unplugging one or two of the PCI 8 Pin connectors on the card and see if it starts beeping? That would maybe indicate whether it is a power issue or something else.
I will try it. I will try to do it when I get home from work tomorrow, if I remember. If I don't it'll have to be Monday.

I missed this message. How do I find out if it's eps or pcie?
From what i recall on motherboard side you have 2 8pin eps
but you can also have a pcie plug from raiser on GPU-enablement kit.

The amd cards since polaris power draw problems are very picky about using full 8pin pcie, in most cases they won't boot/initialize with just 4-6pin's pcie if it was 8pin connector - they utilize sense.

I am used the pcie on the GPU enablement riser, but I'm beginning to wonder if the cables I ordered are not pinned properly due to the sense you're talking about.

According to https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...k-7910-riser-gpu-power-pinout-question.36916/ on the riser side you need a connection from pin 4 to 6. My cable seems to have that, but the card still beeps (which seems to be a power issue).
Since your card does not beep I am not sure if it is indeed related to the wire you have.

Also do you have the low-profile heat sinks? Although, since there seems to be no detection mechanisms I don't think this is making a difference here.

Thank's I got the same ones at home (ordered them before).
Did you change anything else in IDRAC or BIOS? Or did you card never beep but just prevent you from booting?
It was beeping, but I don't remember what I did to cause it to beep... If I remember to, Monday on my day off I can screenshot all my BIOS settings for you.

try using ones from the mobo eps ones; or have you already tried them?

AFAIK there is none on the board itself. There is a 8 pin but it is smaller than a regular EPS.
yes they are custom dell plugs but they are 12v eps 8pin meant for Tesla cards, and you can make them into pcie 8pin's.

Did you already manage to have a look at the settings ? I still struggle to get rid of the beep.

Shouldn't 12V EPS have 4 12V pins? I measured the voltage and it seems like the small plug on the mainboard has the same pinout as the Risers (meaning 3 12 V, two sense pins, and the rest gnd) ?

Cisco 72-100975-01 cable works for me on Dell Precision Rack 7910 (same motherboard as R730) with Tesla M60.

Hi folks, I'm trying to get a similar thing going - but with Tesla P40.

For some reason, I'm not able to get it to work in SR-IOV mode at all. Were you able to figure out getting the r730xd to turn on SR-IOV mode for the GPU?

Ah... and finally after hours of searching to try and find out whether the P40 supports SR-IOV, just after posting the above comment I find out that it doesn't. Nevermind !
