Just curious, what part of the world you in that you're seeing the POE version? I got mine off ebay and the POE ones there are an absolute ripoff.
That's why these are so inexpensive. Please pay attention to the license status of the machine you purchased. Some openbox/refurbished devices do not include the OS6 license file.

There are eBay listings located in China, with Chinese characters and a mobile phone number on the product photo. On Taobao, a listing with the exactly same picture for the POE version was only RMB 2280 (USD 320). The listing was still there on Sunday but now it is gone. The same Taobao seller is still selling the non-POE version for RMB 2480 (USD 350)Just curious, what part of the world you in that you're seeing the POE version? I got mine off ebay and the POE ones there are an absolute ripoff.
Thanks and take your time. Frankly I'm no longer interested about this as the Taobao listing in China is gone, but I believe this would still interest future readers nonetheless as such information is not available now.sorry just saw this.
ill try and get some power consumption figures this weekend.

They do support ONIE, but Sonic does not appear to support them. There may be some 3rd party NOS you can install on it, but I was not able to find one.Is there any use for a switch that doesn't seem to have an OS6 license pre-installed? Does this work with other open-source NOS?
That's a screaming good price - free shipping in the US too.I don't know if this is the best price, however ServerOrbit currently has the N2224X-ON-RA at $169.26 (after automatic 7% discount): Dell N2224X-ON-RA 24 Ports Managed Rack-mountable OEM

OK that's great to hear. This will be on the other side of my living room for the time being, something like 15' away so I think it should be alright then. Thansk a bunch!I have one in my office and the fans in my opinion are not loud at all. I really like this switch.
Did you have to rearrange the fan cables or was it only the connector that is different? So a little update in case anyone was wondering, it was too loud for me top be right next to my workspace so I swapped out the fans with those Arctic ones mentioned above. It didn't use a standard fan header so I needed to solder the new fans to the old but they're working well. They're actually quieter and more so less buzzy and annoying sounding, but ALSO the PHYs are about 4C cooler as well, so, that was just the icing on the cake! No alarms or alerts or problems either, seems to be working just fine. Now that I have standard fan headers I may try some of those Noctua resistor things that will slow the fans down a bit more to see if I can get it slightly quieter while still cooling well enough, but regardless it's already a big improvement.
