Just won an auction for two of these, after looking through the documentation and a few videos from digitalspaceport i still got a couple questions.
1. Whats the backplane / tray speed?
They come with 6g sas2 controllers (correct ones for jbod NOT the fc stuff), but could they run at 12g with upgraded controllers?
Asking since i saw some md3860 with sff 8644 ports on the back.
2. Can you run them with single controller / single psu or do the fans go crazy when one of them is missing or power is not plugged into the second psu.
3. Is there any 12v towards the front of the chassis (outside of the movable trays) i could tap into to power three 120mm fans clipped to the front for additional cooling
4. Any other stuff i should know before installing these?
