Hey Everyone. So I have a DELL MD1000 populated with hard drives that I've been neglecting to hookup to my stack of servers for the past couple of months.
Originally I bought a SAS cable that was recommended to me on /r/homelab. However when I got it, it has a sort of alligator clip style mechanism for attaching. Meanwhile on both my server and MD1000 the connector has a screw type attachment mechanism. From what I can tell the actual connector itself would fit, if not for the screwholes next to the female plug on the boxes.
Does anyone know what kind of cable I need to connect the disk array to my servers? If needed I can go and pull more part numbers and add pictures. But I'm guessing this is pretty standard equipment that tons of people have dealth with.
Thanks!,
Ethan
