Hey everyone,
I'm attempting to stand up a r730s with ESXi, but am running into an issue with the SATA SSDs I've got in the front bays. I have 4 1TB drives that I'd like to use with ESXi, but only a single SSD is properly showing up. What I don't understand is that all 4 SSDs show up in when looking at the controller in the BIOS, as well as in the iDRAC Web UI. I've worked with PERC 710s in the past, and they used to have a UI that would require you to configure the drive so it could present the drives to ESXi, but I've seen no similar UI for these?
A few other steps I've already taken:
Re-formatted & partitioned all 4 drives
Updated to the latest HBA330 mini firmware (and updated the BIOS & iDRAC firmware)
Installed the Dell vendor extensions in ESXi
Tried different drives all together
If anyone here has worked with this set of hardware before, I'd greatly appreciate any advice. Screenshots attached for additional context
