Hello community! I have several Dell C6100 servers in stock. I'm selling the barebone server - 4 nodes, heatsinks, and redundant power supplies for $225 + shipping.

These take the 5500/5600 series CPUs.

Just sold one to Patrick. I have a few rail kits left for $50 and trays (no screws) for $15/ea.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to hear about Patrick's experience, once he receives it, that would be great too.

Thank you!!

^- Thanks Justin. For those wondering, spares for the colo build. Pretty great deal. Purchased 4x sleds for the first C6100 from Vista last week. If you wanted to build units with these you'd need CPUs, RAM, drive sleds (unless you did PXE or iSCSI boot) & screws. Also would need rackmount rails.

Gave permission to post this but did not receive compensation for it. Just think it is a good opportunity if anyone wanted to build a 5500 or 5600 series cluster. Intel Xeon L5520 CPUs sell on ebay for ~$65.

Hello Todd.

Shipping to Tx would be $40 for fedex ground. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Correct. Since they are individually packaged, they will be $40/ea, unless you buy enough where we can pallet them.

If you do buy more than 1, I can work with you on shipping to get that number down.

too loud for my taste but wicked good amount of hardware for the price

4 socket 2U setup with server grade setup to boot for 250usd is amazing!

what kind of chipset are the sas controllers using?

VistaComputer - questions:

Do you have any 2.5" chassis? Alternatively recommended methods to get 2.5" adapters that fit?

Hello Jeggs. I have 5 of the 2.5" C6100. I can offer the same price, but I don't have any of the 2.5" trays in stock.

I think I am buying one of these. Shoot me an invoice. Shipped to the first address in California. Guess I will build out a mini-cluster for the lab.
