I am seeing that there is lots of deals on lenovo 1u/2u server with ddr3 ecc and Xeon E5V2. Would there really be a huge difference between the DDR4 and Xeon E5V3. I am looking at VMWARE ESXi. About 20 VMS, moderate use.
Idle power wise, they are much better. V3 can have more cores. The SATA III controller is much better with the V3's 612 PCH. If I got a great deal, the V2 is still strong.
