Dammit I want to see these prices again! Crazy that over a year later prices are nearly double for the same thing.
And every time I use any of the three machines I still have running Registered DDR3, I kick myself for not having bought all of them in the listing, instead of just the 4.

Me too! I remember listings on here for $25/ea and wish I would have loaded up then. I purposely didn't telling myself, 'oh they will be cheaper in the future so you don't need them now'. Never again. I'm buying with my gut instinct like I usually do--brain has no say-so anymore. :D

Does anyone have an eye on DDR4 ECC unbuffered market?
I'm looking for 16gb stick prices.
I bought a tray of Micron 16GB ddr4 2666 ECC udimms for a project which got cancelled so I've been slowly selling them off on ebay UK. I've been surprised by how little demand there appears to be even though they can be used in a bunch of different systems, and I've been reluctant to drop the price too much. I always chalked it up to unregistered ECC mem being more expensive which put people off (although perhaps I need to advertise on here instead).

Anyhow, I've been selling at £64/stick + fees + shipping, and mostly using ebay promo's to reduce the fees to £1. I'd be interested too if anyone has any recent price points, but remember this is the UK market and not US.

Yeah... so looks like a low-budget ddr4 udimm ECC build is out of the question haha.
I saw some even going for in the 80-100£ range.

DDR3 was so cheap last year lol. I remember I bought some new 16gb sticks for ~$12. I guess I could start selling off my DDR3 at current prices to subsidise the insane DDR4 prices.

Depends on your use case. An intel i3-9100F is like £65 and works with ddr4 ECC, so it's possible to build something cheap if that's enough for your purposes. I have one of those cpu's in a low power pfsense box with 16gb ram and it works a treat (actually it's overkill for my wan right now).

You can buy new Samsung M393A8G40MB2-CVF for about 200€ without tax, so second hand would be about 20% less (160€)

Old thread, but 16GB DDR4 / DDR3 sticks being sold off in larger batches by a French seller on eBay, reasonable prices per stick if you're in Europe

That seller used to be my go to for cheap ram. Could get huge bulks at even higher discounts.

Paying 20-23€ for 32gb ddr4 sticks in lots now, feels like just recently it was twice that.
Glad to see I'm not the only one. The spread of expectations is frustrating. It takes sellers a while to admit the market has turned, especially when many buyers continue to pay through the nose.

Cheapest I could find about a month ago was $48 for a 32GB ECC RDIMM.

ECC UDIMMS are still around $120.

I wanted a Ryzen + Asrock IPMI board to replace my E5 v2, but DDR4 ECC UDIMM pricing is still too high, so instead went with E5 v4 platform.

Seems like prices are all over the place. DDR4 is still pretty insanely priced unless you get 2133 or something. If I could run DDR3 on an Epyc I would haha.

For reference on pricing, I've got my 32GB sticks listed at $35 each for PC3L-14900 Samsungs. I've got 512GB-worth and discount on bulk so figure that into the price range. I felt like mine was priced a bit below non-bulk market when I checked ebay. I think we're in the Christmas time now so demand might pick up at the beginning of the year as companies may start buying then.

Hey guys, I am in need for a few more DDR4 dimm 64Gb 2Rx4 PC4--2933, and curious what is the market pricing for these ??
A while back I got some for around $60ish if I recalled correctly, but I was surprised that ebay used pricing is over $100 these days.
Was there any recent increases in DDR4 memory pricing that anyone aware of ?
