It was some "neural network" (whalebone.io) my ISP uses. How that junk flagged the domain as harmful or whatever I don't understand, but it's pretty annoying.

How have you connected your fan to the PC? Do you have the settings visible in the BIOS? Is the problem to do with the cable?
My motherboard has a standart 4 pin socket for PWM fan. I just tried to connect different fans (3pin 12V, 4pin 12v, 4 pin 5V). I don't think that the problem is in the cablem I tried different fans. And I see a speed of fan in RPM in BIOS , but BIOS don't control it despite BIOS has Fan control settings. And I was able to see speed of fan in Linux, but FanControl also doesn't control speed. I don't know which problem I have. XCY manufacturer didn't answer me about it. I think my motherboard doesn't have PWM-controller.

Did anyone manage to use a SATA-SSD?
I activated the SATA-Controller in the BIOS but in Proxmox the SSD itself doesn't show up. Tried three different drives... :(

yes, i have two v3, one is my router based on n100 (full enclosure) and the other is my server/nas based on n305 (dev board case).. i previosly had a v1, dunno whats the difference between v2 and v3.
Hello, we only have v3 now, V3 NVME upgrade X4 signal, can make 4X M.2, and add some interfaces

It's really tough to extract any meaningful information from them.

Ah they mean that the m.2 slot is now wired x4 (pcie3.0),and with the expansion board it can be splitted into 4 x1 slots.

I can confirm that the expansion work splitting to x1, i've installed a 4Tb nvme (pcie4x4 downgraded to 3x1) and works great, recognized without issues even if cwwk states that max is 2tb.

I also modded the wifi slot (m.2 a+e) and converted it to m-key so another pcie3x1 nvme can be installed (already tested and works), i will put a 2230 disk so 5 nvme in total.

on the x86-p5 both port works, i had 2x mx500 ssd and installed proxmox zfs mirroring them.. i then moved away from zfs but they worked fine.

So i made some test with the x86-p5 v3 and the nvme slots.

Testing the 4 port expansion i figured out that only the first port actually works (the one marked as H1), if i install a second nvme in any other port it's not recognized at all.

So i tested the second nvme in the modded a+e to m port and it works.

In the bios in chipset -> SA -> pcie configuration selecting CEMx4 does not do anything.

1716565718467.jpeg

In the same menu i tried to disable port 1 2 and 3, but they also dont do anything, in proxmox i see everything as usual.

In the bios page chipset -> pch-io -> pcie configuration there are very similar options as in the SA page, and there you can also disable ports, so i disabled port 1 7 9 10, on reboot in proxmox no nvme or lan ports where visible, so the options work there.
- port 9 is eth0 (the one near the usb ports)
- port 10 is eth1 (the one near the barreljack)
- port 7 is the m.2 a+e wifi slot, that i modded to be a m-key slot and where i installed a nvme disk
- port 1 is the m.2 x4 slot is the main one where the adapter is installed

1716565867766.jpeg

The nvme in the m.2 x4 is correctly seen as x4 (downgraded to pcie3 since is a pcie4 drive), the m.2 in the a+e is seen as x1 (also marked as downgraded) as it should.

I suspect that the SA menu where the CEMx4 option is it's not actually working, not correctly enabling the option thus no nvme except the first one (slot H1) can be seen.. so H2 H3 and H4 are useless but i think it's not an hardware problem of the adapter but a bug in the bios.

It's dated oct23, i explained the problem to cwwk support and asked for a bios update/fix/whatever.

1716566254043.jpeg

ATM i'm running both nvme (1 in m.2 x4 and 1 in m.2 x1) and they work just fine.

Fixed, now the expansion board works.

It was indeed a bios problem, i talked with cwwk support and explained what was up, they sent me a bios revision 20240515 (stock came with 20231110), and now disk installed into any slot of the board are detected in bios and in proxmox. Here the main difference in the two bios:

STOCK 20231110, marked as F1 CW-ADLNTB-1C2L

1716623283531.jpeg

1716623341906.jpeg

NEW BIOS 20240515, marked as F3 CW-ADLNTBX-1C2L

1716623366268.jpeg

1716623407518.jpeg

This is the only difference that i can see for now, port 2-3-4 are not shadowed anymore. In the Advanced Options is not needed to switch to M.2 to CEMx4.

Another minor difference is the boot spash logo that is not AMI anymore but sais CWWK.

Here the link provided by CWWK with the new bios X86-P5 最新4*m.2 bios.iso

Splitting the iGPU into 7 vGPU works also great, in kernel 6.5 i've tested simultaneos plex hw transcoding in a ubuntu lxc and w10 vm both perfect.
do you mind sharing your steps on how you got to that point regarding your iGPU split? Do you have working hdmi output on the win 10 vm too? I have the same board with 4 4tb nvme's as a zfs raid z1 pool.

Edit: i checked my bios and it says 11/10/2023. It works with 4 identical Nvme. I guess there is no need for me to update?

no i'm not usind hdmi out because it's a headless server.. i rdp in the w10 vm

i would not use zfs on nvme drives tbh, you gonna wear them down very quickly because of the design of zfs.. good if you can see al the drives without updating the bios i've read that someone else also managed to get it to work having same sku drives.

you can follow those steps here for kernel 6.5.13-3 and 6.5.13-5, i'm running the first one.. i also applied this patch to load 1.9 firmware, it works perfectly.

here the result of sr-iov enabled for the igpu:

1716697375504.png

i also fixed the 3.8ghz boost, PL1 and PL2 from stock bios was set to 9 and 12, for N350 it should be 15 and 35 as per Intel specs, it now boost correctly.

Ok, thanks for the feedback! I was referring to the x86-p4 N100 version.
Did you set anything special in the BIOS?
no, the sata controller is default enable.. port 0 is the one near the lan ports, port 1 is memory side.

I think, we're talking about different models :)
Mine is this one, there is just one SATA-port on the mainboard, which doesn't work so far.
I already reset the BIOS and updated the BIOS - but still no luck... :(

After I flashed this bios and didn't read that it was for v3, now my unit doesn't see the nvme drive. Is there a solution how to return it to an older version of the bios, is there a link somewhere

ask cwwk for a bios file for your board and flash that, should not be a problem.

Before I contact is there a possibility that bios is correct and that some settings need to be changed?
bios flashing resets to factory default all the settings so everything should work ootb no need to change options.

ask cwwk for a bios file for your board and flash that, should not be a problem.
so it was indeed the wrong bios, they stated that the V3 has a different pcie lanes configuration that is probably why you could not see the m.2 in your V1/V2, good that you managed to flash back :)
