Hi Guys,

I have a CSE-836E16-R500B Chassis and I noticed (didn't look closley enough before buying :-( ) that the backplane is an expander backplane. I have multiple SSDs and this backplane will lower performance. So I am wondering if I can swap the backplane to a normal SAS backplane. I have an Adaptec HBA 1000 16i Controller.

Hey Chris, is this a SAS2 backplane? If so, I have an 836TQ with "16-port 3U TQ (W/ AMI 9072 SGPIO support) backplane, support up to 16x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA HDD/SSD" that I'd trade you for (In in Canada though so shipping may cost a little).

Hey,
thanks for the offer but I live in Austria, so shipping would probably take ages and cost a lot.
