Seems over priced, then again I paid ~$300 for a 42?U APC full enclosure, doors on both ends, 4 panels that come out.

I don't think any rack enclosure is "sound proof" unless your psending $3k+ for the integrated cooling option ones.

not over price, believe it or not, 10-12U rack is MORE expansive than 24-4Xu ... due on rarity :D

$179 is a good price for rack enclosure.
need extra padding(foam) to reduce noise, and replace/add more low rpm fans at the back.
yeah, glass front door make more noise on my understanding, either make it black and add padding to reduce noise.
one thing to remember, putting server to closed rack enclosure RAISES temperature around 2-4 degree....

If I were TS/OP, I would bought that or haggled abit $120-150.

Why not DIY if you're going that small? Some wood, some metal angle with holes from home depot and you have a 100% custom rack that can be sound proof, provide good ventilation and probably cost ~200 still ;)

hah in all serious compared to @Spotswood's work, it'll be destined for a Ghetto mod thread. But it's a good idea, I have been wanting to tinker with something for a while.
