CPU Suggestions X99

Considerinng swapping my CPU and RAM to Xeon with 32GB DDR4 ECC.

What’s a good price/performance CPU for a single cpu workstation that will also be used for gaming. Single core performance is a concern.

MB is Asrock X99M Killer. It’s got a long list of compatible Xeons. Has 4 DIMM slots.

E5-1650v3. It is the cheapest Xeon with an open multiplier.

1650v3 can be had for around 250$ immediately used on ebay and if you hunt for it, you can be lucky and get it below 200$.
Don't go for 1620v3 or 1630V3, those are locked and crapp.
If you want to spend the extra money, 1660V3, for 8 cores for between 3 and 500$ dependent on your hunting skills.
1680V3 seems to be the same and is a bit more expensive.

At least as far as i remember.
