So, my gigabyte H97-d3h doesnt even post with the Dell Intel i350-t4 Quad Gigabit Port.
im looking for a mobo that does read that card.

however i have an old LGA775 pc with E8400 core 2 duo and the card works like a charm on that build.

so can anyone confirm a x99/z97/z170 board which works with the i350?

TBH I am a bit surprised that it does not work. I wonder if it is an option ROM issue?

Some cards need their pci-e speed locked

If you boot into the bios on the h97, you should be able to find pci-e speed, change it from auto to 2.0 and then plug in the card.

You should also try updating the firmware on the motherboard

Well firmware is up to date.
changing it from auto to 2.0 doesnt do the trick.

I Dont mind replacing the mobo, just need to make sure that the new one will work.

supermicro ones usually work without a hitch.
Clearly. But the point is i already have 1 card on a supermicro server. The second one should sit on my gaming pc to achive atleast 4gbit with nic teaming.
so i need my consumer board up running with that card.

check and tweak "option rom"...
or
sometimes UEFI could cause issue.. try to disable or hybrid(look legacy first and UEFI secondly) UEFI

my cheap J1800 can work without issue with i340 card :D
