Confirming Ivy Bridge Core i5's in Supermicro X9SCx Motherboards

Guys,

Just a quick note, the Ivy Bridge based Core i5's are working with BIOS v2.0 and higher on Supermicro X9SCx motherboards, such as the X9SCM-F provided you use standard desktop UDIMMs, so in otherwords non-ECC versions.

Thought I would pass along the note.

I knew what he meant, but confirmation from Supermicro would still be good to have. Maybe there are some hidden issues with i5s, or maybe not all i5s will work, or maybe a future BIOS update could break i5 compatibility, etc.

That could be handy to know - thanks for posting :) Could be a handy stand-in CPU until the V2 Xeons arrive (or arrive here, anyway...).
