I have been seeing a few of these pop up here and there. Unfortunately unlike their JBOD chassis - these seem to be full SAN setups running FluidFS.
My question is - other than assuming these need Dell branded drives - what else would I be missing to get this running as a SAN or enclosure?
Or has anyone been successful re-flashing the controllers to be a stand-alone system?

You better off getting sas enclosure, quanta has 60 bay one there is one from HP 70 drives loos very cool. How many drives do you need you can get enclosure with 36 bays. I have 2 ds4246 they are silent and dont draw that much power 60 watts at idle without hard drives each drives adds 3 to 5 watts
