What's going on with the comments on articles at the moment? I posted a couple recently (one today) and they take a couple of goes to post (the usual "you're posting comments too quickly" when it's my first post in days), then they eventually submit without error but they never show up on the site (not even 'awaiting moderation'). But if I post the same comment again a day or two later, it says I'm trying to post a duplicate comment.
Is there some sort of spam queue that comments go to that nobody looks at? I wonder if it's possible to whitelist regular commenters so we don't waste time writing a lengthy comment only to have it disappear into nothingness.
