My problem:

I do video rendring 4k and its taking forever by cpu.
the software i use dos not support GPU, that would do my job more "fun".
So i'm stuck with windows, and a crappy windows program.

i have in my posession servereal servers.
some HPE G9's and some other server grade HW that together will do the trick.
i have over 170 cpu cores at my disposal.

is there some way i can merge this CPU power to and run in VM windows in vmware?
or is there another way to do this to make the problem more "fun"

Are you expecting the hyperviser to present multiple processors from different cluster nodes as a single vCPU to the guest VM? I do not believe that it works this way.

not expecting, just hoping.
i'm just a semi-pro so just walking the water so see what possible.
i hoping i can use all the vCPU in one vm but dont know if its possible.

Running cluster aware software is the only way of using multiple physical nodes at the same time. A hypervisor can migrate VM from node to node but it can not run the same VM on multiple nodes at the same time without guest OS and application support.

So invest in a better software.

VMWare vSphere can not help you here. at all. I've had a lengthy conversation on the same subject matter a few weeks ago:
https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...server-clustering-what-software-to-use.26424/
This may give you some insight to why your idea won't work.

Luckily for you, you don't need to re-invent the wheel, as there are already several distributed render clustering software available:
This one for example (I don't much about Blender or Crowdrender)
Distributed Rendering in Blender 2.8
Good news is there is a very active Blender community on www.reddit.com/r/blender
