Good morning. First time posting. I am putting together a crisis comm rack using a CradlePoint C980 and a Cisco 1121 router. I am looking at a 6U DeskPI rack. I am going to use a flat shelf to mount the router. I realize that the router is 10.80 inches long. I dont plan to use the rack ears. Will the router fit behind the rack uprights and between the sides without sticking out? The issue is that I already have the routers so I need to make it work. Thx.

Standard 10-inch racks only have ~8.75" of clearance between the rails, so a 10.8" router won't fit between the uprights—it'll overhang the sides. You'll likely need to sit it on top or switch to a small 19" desktop frame
