Cheap/Ghetto remote managed PDU?

Here's a pretty awesome ghetto solution. I think I'm going to give this a try.. since I already have all the parts sitting around. Web Controlled 8-Channel Powerstrip

I'm actually surprised it hasn't come up but if you want an el-cheapo solution that generally works, you could always pickup a networked version of a Baytech RPC-3 which can be picked up regularly for less than $50.

The serial interface was always solid on them but i've had problems with the telnet/ssh interface going out to lunch if you send too many commands at them to quick (it would come back a few minutes later but annoying). It also supports SNMP so if you want a web-interface, start walking
