Hi,

I have just come across a file I cannot delete from my omnios/napp-it server.

its a an MSOffice installer img file.

I first tried deleting from the desktop machine it was created (folder redirection) it said file open in another programme
I then shut down the desktop and tried deleting it from the server, using another machine logged in as admin, again it says file open in another programme (all other files in the folder delete fine)
I then tried WinSCP logged in as root and I get permission denied error code 3
I then tried midnight commander from putty logged in as root and I get permission denied (13)
I tried using snapshots to revert the folder to an earlier time before the file existed in the folder, this reverted the other files in the folder but did not delete the file.

I have not yet restated the server.

Any ideas how I can delete this file?

I only added snapshots to my server (every 15 mins) a few weeks ago, could a badly timed snapshot during deletion have caused this?

---------

Update - nevermind, it deleted.
