Can you have different RAM capacity on different Xeon Scalable Sockets?

If I had 12x 32GB in one socket and 6x 32GB in the other, will that work or cause big problems?

Yes, it will work. My Xeon scalable has different memory capacity on two sockets and it never causes an issue.

It will work. Apart from a potential performance penalty, depending on your use-case, there should be no problems.

Works, maybe you notice some performance impact but even then probably not for general use.

But why would you do it ?
